The SADE Routine

MINIMAL SKINCARE. EVERYWHERE.

We built SADE for people who move—between days, flights, climates. Start simple. Add only what your skin really needs.

Oily/Combination:
lighter layers, gel textures.
Normal: balanced layers.
Dry/Sensitive: creamy, cushioning layers, fragrance-free.

Morning (AM)

Goal: Hydration + daily protection (UV, heat, pollution).

1. Cleanse – Gentle refresh

  • Use: RiceWhip Milk Cleanser (milk-to-foam that won’t strip).
  • How: 30–45 sec massage, rinse lukewarm.
  • Skip cleanse if not needed: If you did a full PM cleanse and skin feels clean, just splash water.

(Optional) Antioxidant serum – City/office days

  • What to look for if you add one: 10–15% Vitamin C (L-AA or stable derivatives), or multi-antioxidant blends (EGCG, ferulic, resveratrol). pH-balanced, fragrance-free, in opaque packaging.
  • Be careful: If stinging persists >1 week, reduce frequency or switch to a gentler antioxidant (EGCG, Q10).

2. Moisturize + SPF 50 – One and done

  • Use: Glow Veil SPF 50+ Moisturizer (also in Tinted).
  • How: Two finger-lengths for face, another for neck/ears. Reapply every ~2–3 hours outdoors.
  • Hot & Humid tip: Use Glow Veil alone.
  • Dry & AC office tip: Layer CloudBarrier thinly under Glow Veil.

3. Lips – Seal moisture

  • Use: Silk Lip Melt (single swipe, reapply as needed).
  • If you add a lip SPF (optional): Choose mineral filters (Zinc/TiO₂) if lips are reactive.

Evening (PM)

Goal: Remove the day + feed barrier.

1. Cleanse – Take the day off

  • Use: RiceWhip Milk Cleanser.
  • Heavy makeup/SPF? Double cleanse: balm or micellar first (look for PEG-based, fragrance-free), then RiceWhip.

Treat – Based on your skin goals (optional 3–5 nights/week)

Choose one family per night to avoid irritation:

  • Retinoid night (texture, fine lines): Start with retinal/retinol 2–3×/week, pea-sized for full face. Avoid on the same night as strong acids.
  • Acid night (clogged pores/dullness): BHA 1–2% or PHA for sensitive; AHA 5–8% for tone/texture. Limit to 1–3×/week.
  • Repair night (redness/dehydration): Peptides, ectoin, ceramides, panthenol. Great after flights or post-actives.

2. Moisturize – Cushion + seal

  • Use: CloudBarrier Barrier Repair Cream.
  • Very dry? Sandwich your retinoid: thin CloudBarrier → retinoid → CloudBarrier.

3. Lips – Overnight comfort

  • Use: Silk Lip Melt.
  • 1–2×/week: Gentle lip polish with Peach Sugar (pen), then Lip Melt.

Climate & Lifestyle Add-Ons

Hot & Humid (Dubai summers, tropics)

Keep layers light: Glow Veil alone in AM, CloudBarrier thin in PM.

Blot instead of over-cleansing midday.

Dry & Cold (AC offices, winter trips)

Layer CloudBarrier under Glow Veil in AM.

Add a humidifier or a hydrating mist without fragrance/alcohol.

Pollution Days / Screens

Prioritize antioxidant step in AM (Vit C or EGCG blend).

PM: thorough cleanse with RiceWhip; consider repair night.

Flights & Late Nights

Pre-board: CloudBarrier + Silk Lip Melt.

Skip strong actives that night; do a repair night instead.

Shop SADE Routine

Smart “Boosters”

We don’t sell these (yet), but here’s how to choose safely:

Vitamin C (AM): 10–15% L-Ascorbic Acid or stable derivatives (e.g., Ascorbyl Glucoside). Look for water-light textures, opaque/air-restricted bottles, pH disclosure, and minimal fragrance.

Retinoid (PM): Start low and slow (retinal/retinol 0.1–0.3%). Avoid using with strong acids on the same night. Use pea-size only.

Exfoliant (PM, 1–3×/week): BHA 1–2% for pores; AHA 5–8% for glow; PHA if sensitive. Patch test, avoid lips/eye corners, moisturize after.

Spot Treatment (PM): Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5–5% or Sulfur 3–10% for active breakouts—dab, don’t smear.

Eye area: Stick to barrier-friendly gels/creams; avoid heavy fragrance and essential oils.

Mixing Rules (save this!)

Don’t stack retinoid + strong AHA/BHA the same night.
Vitamin C in AM is fine with SPF; if sensitive, alternate days.
Barrier off? Pause actives 3–5 days; cleanse, moisturizer, SPF only.

Concerns & Micro-Routines

Your skin changes with your environment, your routine should flex with it.

Dehydration/Flakiness: RiceWhip → CloudBarrier (AM & PM) → Glow Veil in AM. Add repair night 3×/week.

Clogged T-zone: AM as usual. PM alternate: BHA night → Repair night → Retinoid night → Repair night.

Post-Workout: Quick cleanse (RiceWhip) → Glow Veil (reapply) → Lip Melt.

FAQ-ish Notes

How Much & How Often?

Cleanser: 1–2 pumps, 30–60 sec.
Moisturizer: blueberry size (AM/PM).
SPF 50: two finger-lengths face; +one for neck/ears.
Retinoid: pea-size total face, 2–3×/week to start.
Acids: thin layer, 1–3×/week PM.
Lip Melt: as needed; polish 1–2×/week.

Makeup pilling?

Let each layer set 60–90 sec, reduce amount, and avoid mixing silicone-heavy primers with heavy creams.

Sensitive suddenly?

Strip routine to Cleanser → CloudBarrier → Glow Veil for 5–7 days.

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding?

Skip retinoids; confirm actives with your clinician.
